Advanced Plastiform is Hiring a CNC Operator

What is the overall objective/purpose of CNC Operator position?

Operates computer numerical controlled machines (CNC) according to work instructions to produce plastic component parts.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of CNC Operator:

  • Set up machine to perform the required function
  • Follow the work instructions for completing the required job function to determine methods and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications
  • Loads and unloads material from machine
  • Inspect pieces throughout the production run
  • Performs deburring, sanding, grinding or similar operations as necessary, according to the work instructions, to ensure parts meet the required standards
  • Cuts material to size using shears, knives, cutters, scissors, router or bandsaw
  • Trims, drills, reams, countersinks, grinds and finishes parts to specifications, using the appropriate tools
  • Completes required quality production paperwork according to company work rules
  • Reports accurate production numbers using the ERP computer system
  • Keeps work area neat and organized
  • Follow all clean up and housekeeping procedures
  • Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic are necessary
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions
  • Basic computer understanding
  • Knowledge of machinery

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • Previous machine operations experience preferred
